School and Family Resources
North Mason School District is dedicated to ensuring that every student can receive the best educational experience possible. Unfortunately, sometimes there are circumstances in a child's life that become a barrier to receiving that educational experience.
The focus of the Family Engagement Department is to connect students and their families to the resource that can address barriers to education and allow students to achieve to their fullest potential. Family Liaison Laura Pugh can be reached at (360) 277-2241, for additional family needs. Spanish-speaking families can contact Community Liaison Mateo Santiago at (360)277-2342. The Family Engagement Department links families and students with food and clothing banks, medical resources, mental health counseling, and state and local resource agencies. Students and families frequently participate in more than one service with the focus on student achievement.
Families who have lost housing and are currently living in a situation without fixed, adequate or regular housing (including living with friends or family members) may qualify for McKinney-Vento services. If you believe your family may qualify for McKinney-Vento services contact NMSD Director of Systems & Supports Cris Turner at (360) 277-2295.
